About
Dear Friend,
After more than twenty years in public finance working for broker/dealer and underwriting firms and witnessing a spate of changes to the regulatory landscape, it has become evident the municipal advisory services I enjoy so much are increasingly more difficult to deliver within the confines of a bond underwriting department.
It gives me so much joy to continue to serve through Oakdale Municipal Advisors. I look forward to sitting across from you and discussing how this firm will allow me to provide the kind of independent municipal advisory services needed in today’s environment and moving forward.
What’s in a Name?
A storied history. A strong foundation. Knowledge. My children are the eighth generation to live on Oakdale Farm in Sumner County, Tennessee. We come from a line of pioneers, soldiers, innovators, builders, farmers, teachers, and public servants. Our lineage looks a lot like those I have the privilege of serving across Tennessee. One of the greatest joys in public finance is helping find solutions to real challenges faced by friends and neighbors. To me, Oakdale stands for doing our part to improve life for the generations which follow. Government leaders work to do the same. I get so much pride from driving past a school, park, or water treatment plant I helped fund.
Oakdale Farm is part of my foundation. I am a piece of every pioneer, soldier, innovator, builder, farmer, teacher or public servant who lived there before me. Just as cities and counties and districts are built on the shoulders and talents of those who live and work there, my family adds one more layer to the foundation at Oakdale to make it a little firmer for the next set. Laying a strong fiscal foundation is always at the forefront of a conscientious leader’s mind.
Finally, knowledge—the fruit of the oak tree is the universal symbol of knowledge. It is such a pleasure to be able to use my knowledge to help build better communities for the benefit of my Tennessee neighbors. To me, there could be no better representation for history, strong foundation and knowledge than Oakdale.
